Weston and Adam are two Medics of the British Army. Weston is a cold, 29 year old, combat veteran who becomes very exasperated when the 18 year old Rookie ships out to join him in the heat of Afghanistan. Not only does Weston find the kid annoying, he also doesn't want to bear the responsibility of looking out for him and mentoring him. Adam is everything that Weston isn't. He's bright and hopeful and eager to help out in anyway he can, even when Weston wished he wouldn't. He always looks for Weston's approval, no matter what. Weston wants nothing to do with it. But teamwork is part of survival. Will they learn to work together to save lives, or will they coast other's their lives, and possibly their own?

She is also Caleb's "sister". Since Bradly is an ass towards both Ella and Caleb they decided to join forces and stick together. Bradley (Brad) is 16 and also has secrets. He doesn't have friends and is kinda shy. He has a hatred in his heart towards the world and no one knows why. Caleb is 14. He is like Ella's brother. They sick up for each other and do fun things together. He loves his dad and doesn't see the wrong in most things. One day Caleb tells Ella that Bradley and him are going on a trip with their dad and that she should go. She said yes, of course. Little did she know, what started out the shooting lessons in the middle of the woods would turn into their worst nightmare. Bradley has to reveal some secrets along with Ella and he has to start using his brotherly love and instinct to survive. What happens when Ella discover the biggest secret the boys have.
