Cassie is an adopted child who's "parent's" are foster parents too. Because of one night she is grounded for three months. Completely ignoring and not talking to her "family" she gets disowned by them. One day one of the kids, Paul, says something really mean about her and everything goes crazy. She drives off with tears in her eyes, and blacks out. She wakes up in a hospital but she feels something is wrong with herself. Is it guiltiness or is it something else?
