Six gangs, a bunch of zombies, three cans of tuna and only one boy who can save the world. Except he dies in the first chapter. Divided into different groups, the children of Hearthike the Pink Pike City must fight everyday to survive. After a government weapon was leaked into the air, a virus spread rapidly around the globe infecting anyone and everyone with a neurosynthesized heterodox-AKA all those above the age of 18. However, the disease didn't completely wipe out the adults, instead, it crawled into the crevices of their heads and took over their senses. They became, what one can only call, zombies. Now the world is plagued with monsters roaming the streets, attacking other life forms regardless of age, gender or race. After three years of the virus, the kids are nowhere closer to the cure and supplies are running out, is there hope? Will they ever get their parents back? And more importantly Who is the real enemy in this fight for survival?

Through Blood and Ash. What's left after everything burns? --------- They warned us. We didn't listen. Now the world is dead - and the dead are all that's left. The year is 6062, and humanity has collapsed under the weight of its own arrogance. A cure meant to save us twisted into something monstrous, turning loved ones into soulless predators with only one instinct: kill. Cara has lost everything - her family, her home, and the illusion that safety still exists. With a small band of survivors, she clings to life on the run, haunted by the screams of those she couldn't save... especially her brother. But when a desperate choice forces them back into the infected zones, Cara will have to decide what's worse: the monsters outside, or the guilt that's been tearing her apart from within. In a world where hope is dying and nightmares walk in daylight, survival comes at a cost - and not everyone is willing to pay it. -------------------------------- REWRITTEN I've gone back and rewritten this story from the ground up. As well as changed the name. The original had a strong foundation, but I knew there was more I could bring to it-more depth, more heart, and a better reading experience. I truly hope you enjoy this new version. And if you're returning from the original, thank you for sticking with me-I hope this one resonates with you just as much, if not more.
