Schon an Beginn der Zeit existieren sehr mächtige Götter. Sie erschufen Engel um die Menschheit zu beschützen was auch eine sehr lange Zeit funktionierte jedoch fing es an das manche Engel ihre Bestimmung brachen und anfingen Menschen zu töten. Entweder wurden sie eingesperrt oder sofort umgebracht. Zum Glück waren nicht alle Engel betroffen. Die Götter wussten nicht wie es dazu kam und taten alles das die Engel wieder ihrer Bestimmung folgten jedoch ohne Erfolg. Sie hatten schwarz unterlaufene Augen, ihre Haut war Leichen blass und ihr Blut war Pech schwarz. Um die Gefallenen aufzuhalten wurden die Nachkommen der Götter zu Kriegern ausgebildet.
Sera, eine kriegerin versucht nach ihren schlimmen Schicksalsschlägen sich wieder zu erhohlen und während dieser Zeit lernt sie gute Freunde kennen aber ist James nur ein Freund? Und Nicklas der Seelenverwandte?
