The Day Has Come (Counting on Hockey #4) by Harvie_good

So, the day of Meredith's new job has come. She's officially a journalist for the Minnesota Wild, the NHL hockey team. She's also the girlfriend of six years to Cole Anderson, second line center, for the Wild. She's the head journalist, which comes with challenges and responsibilities. With being the only journalist for the team at the moment, she has to do the job of two or three other people, and hire somebody new to work with her, which may be harder than she anticipated. Her trouble with trying to find somebody new, is the hardest thing she's ever had to do. The applicants either have other jobs they took, or they don't do their jobs, at all. But the most important person in Meredith's life, is none other than a person she interviews on a daily basis, her boyfriend, Cole Anderson. They've lived together on and off for the past four years, though some of the time was with their best friend, Noah Smith. The relationship's promise was broken once, but taped back together. They try to forget about the horrible past on separate ends of their lives. The next year of their lives together will make or break their relationship, and learn the true responsibility of an adult relationship in the real world, not some high school love story.

How can a person be so infuriating yet so intriguing? ••••••••••••• Elizabeth Kennedy never really thought of sexy football all star slash steamy quarterback, Colton Blake as anything other than a sleazy, typical jock with jerk face written all over him. She swears the only thing he knows how to do is play football and contract STDs. She can already tell he's just a good looking, hotshot, high school jock who won't know what to do once high school's over. She's always just thought of him as that rich kid that has everything but won't amount to anything without his parents' money. A self-righteous pig with nothing better to do than annoy the living sugar out of everyone, especially Elizabeth (his personal favorite). If it was up to her, she'd have banished him from planet Earth. After all, he's just another severe case of cliches. His money, power, status, and good looks can't be enough forever. In her eyes he's a scumbag that needs a good kick in the family jewels("that is if he had any"- Elizabeth). He's just one of those sporty guys that have no feeling or understanding and only wants to get into her panties. "Fat chance of that happening," that's what Elizabeth's response would be, delivered in a deliciously sarcastic tone and wrapped up in a pretty little bow of attitude. But as they say 'never judge a book by its cover'. Especially if you don't know what's within your own pages. She didn't have a problem with that; she loves being alone, enjoying binge-ing TV shows, finishing an entire can of Ben&Jerry's by herself and, sometimes, calling her only best friend to chat. One day, a new boy transfers into her school. He's distant, cold and sometimes even funny. There's Max Bordel, reuniting with his long lost friend group, finding a job at a local diner and making harmless pranks.
