(Before Karate Kid I) The year is 1982 - Mary Jones is a Sophomore at West Valley High School. Mary has a solid group of friends and is focused on her studies. Her home life isn't as perfect as her school life, though. One day when Mary is at school, she runs into Johnny Lawrence. The two become good friends, but often get into a lot of trouble getting caught at parties with substances. Although she doesn't want to be seen as a troublemaker, is Johnny worth ruining her reputation? (Because they're not mentioned, I made up a last name for Tommy and a first name for Dutch.
