Mystery
So... Here I am. Standing outside in the warm summer air, watching the orange flames lick up in front of me, listening to the crackle of wood and the occasional pop of plastic or glass. Soot is smeared on my face, all my makeup has been sweat off, my hair is a tangled rats nest, my nails have been broken off, and my dress. Oh god, my dress. The original light blue dress is now spotted with soot, mud is caked onto the bottom, and there are rips and tears all throughout the silky fabric. To make matters worse, or better, I still haven’t decided, Jeff and Noah are standing on either side of me, watching the golden embers spark to life, fluttering down to the ground. Jeff is covered in sweat, so is Noah. Noah is panting, while Jeff tries to hide his anxiety attack. Noah pushes his hair back, away from his eyes. There’s that scar again. That pale, shiny scar, splitting through the top of his forehead and reaching down to his eyebrow. Jeff sputters a cough, hoping to spit out the rest of the smoke. “So, this is it?” He asks, rubbing his eyes. Noah glares at him, wafting the smoke away from his nose. I find myself speaking before they have a chance to start bickering again. “Maybe. I guess we’ll find out tomorrow in the telegram.” I croak, my voice scratchy from the smoke. Everyone remains silent. There’s nothing left to be said. It’s all done. It’s over, but this is how it started.

However, I was a kid when I wrote this so take it with a grain of salt. *** Like a deer in head lights, I freeze and watch as the car comes towards me expecting to get hit. But to my surprise, the car swerves to the side slightly next to me and comes to a stop. I take a deep breath I didn't know I was holding at the driver's side door swings open and a very pissed off Axel steps out. "Thank god," I mumble and place my hands on my knees to catch my breath. "Blaze?" He says and I hate it. I hate how he says my name as if it's his. Like he knows it's the only thing I want to hear, him calling out to me, looking at me, focused to me. It's the first time in my life I wanted someone's attention so badly I didn't care how I got it. And that was too dangerous for me to hold onto. "Are you insane or some shit? I could have killed you!" He says and starts to walk towards me. I take a big breath and step back away from him, "s-stop! Axel," I stutter still panting. It's then he notices the blood on my hands and shirt. "Is that blood?" He asks staring at my shirt and I take another step back. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. "Don't run from me Blaze it won't go well," he growls reading my thoughts causing me to freeze in my spot. "Do not ever think you can get away from me."
