Relationships were thriving, med school decisions were pending, and Gabi and Luke were getting used to a somewhat normal life again. Things were slightly different. Having the frequent company of Sierra was confusing for Gabi, and knowing what the boundaries were was still confusing for them both. Honestly, it could be kind of frustrating for the three of them to figure out the family dynamic. However they had to make it work, and with plenty of time on their hands it seemed like it could be figured out. But of course, family was never that easy. Especially not when history has a habit of repeating itself.

SEQUEL TO FOREVER Getting better wasn't immediate, and that was frustrating. It created tension between family, and cause a constant battle. A constant worry of who would listen, who would care, and if you were just going insane. Ava felt it. Putting herself in a vulnerable place was the scariest thing, and when new people wanted to enter her life, it was nerve-raking. Perhaps summer wasn't a break at all.

No one had ever made her feel so accepted before. However, she knew better, and nothing was always as easy as the boys liked to make out. Fears were still tugging at her stomach, making it spin as much as her head when her relationships were being pulled. No one told her being a teenager would be easy, but no one said it was hard either. It wasn't something you could prepare for. But with the right people, she knew she could get through it because she had the most important part. Hope.
