Jade hates being helped. She's independent. She didn't need help when her dad disowned her after she came out. She didn't need help when her mom moved Jade away from her friends, the only ones who had ever understood her. She didn't need help when her mom died, forcing Jade to drop out of college to care for her three younger siblings. But the zombie apocalypse has a way of changing things. Now Jade has to get across a zombie filled country with three little kids, none of whom are over ten. When an unfairly gorgeous woman offers to help Jade, she has no choice but to accept. Not that she wants to or anything.
