Katie feels abandoned and alone after her father left her and her mother for his new family. So when she finds herself part of the popular group at school, she tries desperately to stay a part of it. Even if it means pretending to be someone she's not. An unfortunate imcident leads her to be hospitalised and she ends up in group therapy where she meets Hunter, a troubled boy with a dark secret. He plucks a nerve in Katie with his sharp words and mood swings. But the more they try to stay away from each other, the closer they get. Will they have to put aside their pride and become friends and maybe even something more? Or will Hunter's secret keep them apart?
