The eternally damned versus eternally saved. Persephone Nyx is one of the only vampires that isn't afraid of the threats around her. She's cunning and intelligent and just wants to try and forget about her past mistakes with every new vampire she creates. Gabe is sent on a mission by the Creator to try and convince one of the oldest vampires of this time to stop turning humans. His goal is to make Persephone see that the afterlife on earth isn't as amazing as the beyond. What he doesn't know are the secrets that lurk deep beneath her past that go far beyond the grave.
Persephone doesn't trust Gabriel since she knows nothing beyond the scopes of Hell and her friend, Mateus, isn't convinced that Gabriel is completely "pure." Once revealing what he is and getting to know Persephone the longer he is down on earth, the two become bonded in a star-cross lover dynamic and forces them to realize only one choice can be made. Gabe is willing to leave his Creator and learn to live a life among the vampires as one of them but Persephone won't allow it. However, she can't see herself dying after everything she's done only to know she may not be with him due to her actions. In the end, she ends up changing Gabriel and unleashing a wrath from the Creator on committing the ultimate crime of turning away an Angel from his path.
