Rosie an introvert whose presence feels like serenity to Anthony.

Two people with completely different natures from two different worlds are consumed by one another. Rosie finally feels seen, and Anthony finally realizes what magic feels like.

While they keep being pulled towards each other like magnets, they are kept apart by their own doubts and hesitations.

This time, I can't help but flinch as he touches me and pulls the other strap down .. baring my other shoulder to his eyes. "Anthony .. you can't say those things. We .. we're supposed to be best friends." As I try to reason with him, he begins to kiss my shoulder .. making the words come out so much more weaker than intended. Anthony stays quiet after what I say, or rather he ignores me, instead using his other hand to play with the skin on my stomach exposed from the top. "I know .." He trails off. I hold my breath, anxious as I wait to hear what he's going to say next. "But I genuinely don't know if that's enough for me anymore .." Anthony moves my hair to side, and the words he speaks are paired with a slow kiss to the nape of my neck. Beatrix thought she'd never trust another guy again. After having her heart broken and being bullied out of her high school, when an opportunity to leave takes the form of a scholarship to a private university, she packs up and accepts happily. Everything was supposed to start over that year, all she had to do was lay low and maintain a focus on her studies to graduate. Until she meets a guy in her Spanish class. Beatrix's world is turned upside down as she explores new friendships and begins to open back up to the world. She begins to navigate her new life on campus, filled with arduous exams, study sessions, hard decisions and of course .. a little drama and excitement to make things entertaining. This is a slow burn!!!
