After Bill Denbrough leaves Derry for a college in Augusta, Maine, he's sees 7 familiar faces every single day. A small boy who gets almost unnoticed by everyone, a comedian who hosts the campus radio show, a professor's assistant who has been rumored to have a strange obsession with birds, a redhead girl who's popular but always looks depressed, a fit guy who looks like he's been working out a lot, but also possibly starving himself and finally a boy who's always sketching in his journal, who's eyes are as dark as the night sky and have a mysterious tint about them. Bill then starts to write to this guy online who refers to himself as "homeschool" and he starts to feel a connection. He's never felt this way before, even with his new girlfriend, Audra. Only time will tell, but will Bill's uncertain past catch up to him and others in their college years?
