No longer able to pay off the occupying forces for the whole family's protection, Lavina learns she is being sent away to work for the Royalist tyrants. Unable to face the decision her parents have made for her, she runs away, and learns far more about herself and homeland than expected. (NaNoWriMo 2011)

How far can a broken soul endure? Emma La Larum was a champion, beings that can bring entire armies to their knees. She was the dread that the brave feared, the nightmare that the monsters hid from, and the bane of entire legions. She was an all but a weapon in flesh. But beneath her bloody craft, she was once a girl who sought nothing more but the warmth of family. A warmth she was denied of even in her death. For once, Emma quietly embraces her escape, but even death had betrayed her as she wakes up back to her youthful days. Although her body was healthy and beautiful once more, her mind teeters on the edge of oblivion. Broken and half mad, Emma abandoned her name and family in hopes of finding refuge from the horrors of war, yet it's shadow could never leave her alone.
