The World is plagued by Distortion; an entity targeting young teenagers placing them in a warped version of Reality where their wishes are fulfilled. In this permanent fever dream, magic exists wielded by those who choose to return, but only in this world. For one to escape this world, one must touch the heart of the victim this world surrounds, and resolve their wishes.
When Kei Rin seemingly reaches true happiness by going to Anime Expo with his friends from school, as he returns home, his world is shattered as a fallen voice actor frees him from it. As he is introduced to becoming a magician, he reveals the truth about distortion.
