Keahi Ramos made it to 13. Thirteen years before she ended up burning a monster sent to kill her. 

The heat never bothered Keahi, which worried many adults. They were bewildered at the fact that she could step on the scorching pavement in the summer, touch a hot stove, play with fire so easily, and whenever she cried, the stove hissed and was boiling hot. She helped her father run a luau-themed restaurant in New York, being the star of the show as a fire twirler. Her step-mother was sweet and timid, but scared shitless at the sight of her step-daughter, pushing her to drink excessively to overcome her fear of the young girl, making her an incoherent drunk and occasional gambler. She's always wondered why heat didn't bother her, it doesn't help that she can barely be left alone anymore, with people constantly attacking her that looked like they stepped out of a terrible lab. She is left with hating herself for causing her father such worry, and endless taunts of drunken men shaming her body while dressed dancing in traditional clothing, never talking back because of her fear of men, born of the many years being groped by older men while onstage.

But hey, at least the restaurant didn't lose any customers.
 
What happens when she meets someone completely opposite of her?

He is darker, harsher, more angry and powerful. His fury and sorrow at almost all of his friends and families' deaths is what fuels him now. One day, as he is mourning his friends in a graveyard, he sees a clear crystal on the ground, which takes him to a strange new place... Sophie is distraught. The Neverseen took Keefe for his new ability he's manifested. They have to make a plan to get him back.
