A half-demon living in the snow of the winter mountains, Koko survives in a world full of cruelty and discrimination. Repeatedly chased by demons day and night for what she was... Koko could only hate her own species, having only but the mountain to keep her company. 

Until she met him. The demon with the 
half-breed brother and a talkative imp. Cold as the snow she stepped on and as beautiful as the winter that plagued the mountains. 

He was Lord Sesshomaru of the Western Lands, and he attained the Treasure of the Mountain.

Upon returning, Chiyo learns what happened to her best friend and spends the next 50 years making herself stronger all while disguised as a man to make travel easier. Inuyasha is awakened and she searches all over the place for Inuyasha. After teaming up with Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku and Shippo, Chiyo leads the group to the demon slaying village where she once trained. They find the villagers slain before meeting Sango, who wished to kill Inuyasha who she believed killed her village. After seeing the truth, the group continues their journey to find Naraku and Chiyo crosses paths with the long foreseen true love that Reiki predicted that she'd meet one day, southern wolf demon tribe leader, Koga.
