Until Coach Weaver shows up.
At just 28, she's managed to take three separate cheer squads to the State Championships, and Adora has wanted this for forever. A cheer scholarship could get her out of here. Into the big cities. Onto the big leagues.
Except that Weaver isn't a fan of Catra, their captain and top girl. And Adora's admiration for their new coach throws a spanner between the two, forcing them to revaluate everything they both stand for.
