Imagine you live in the future. You are either rich or poor, hungry or full, and the government doesn't care which. You're between the ages of twelve and nine teen, and it's time for The Tournament. You, unfortunately, have been chosen. Forge alliances, make enemies, and most importantly, survive.

You will choose your destiny, for only one team can win. Pray that it's yours.

[Δ]This Story is similar to the Hunger Games in many ways. For copyright reasons, I decided not to call it that. It is basically The Hunger Games with my own special twists. There will be mentions of this as The Tournament and The Games, but they're the same thing. Thank you for taking the time to read this.[Δ]

It was 2050, the year of the misery. The world War 3 happened, a nuclear war which ended up making the earth inhabited. But luckily there were survivors. There was an organization called 'Octagon Veranda' situated on a lonely Island which was covered by a special Nano cover which was supposed to last 300 years and it's a shield against radiation, bioweapons and chemical attacks. This organization of scientists was created to survive the World War, which could've wiped out humans from Earth. The communication system within the island was advanced and had no connection with outside to prevent AI attacks. It was protected in each possible way which is why humanity still lasts. It is 2201 now. Our little island is the only place humanity can survive on the earth but sadly it's a small island. The population is rising. So now we have a lot more problems to survive than radiation. There are two parts of the island. Inside and outside. Simply heaven and hell on the same island. If you can get inside you are more than lucky. If you get to live outside, you better pray for death. Inside the island is the place where the Octagon Veranda, the main buildings and the city are situated. Octagon Veranda, we work on eight sectors that help humanity to survive. Each sector has a chancellor, and together that's the Octagon council. Edward Sallow - Nano technology sector Kane Johnson - Chemical sector Kirstein Evens - Mechanicals and communication sector. Jessy Terco - Environmental science, Biology and human studies sector Elsa Blake -Medical sector. Bell Bostic - Security, exploration and social work sector Penny Browns - Hydrology and Farming Sector Jupiter Terco -Astro sector

100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. With Iron Guard, the resistance outside the walls, hunting the Purebloods too, will the trial save human race before it's too late? #3 in #dystopianfuture (27.06.2020)

[Editors' Choice 2020] In a near-future, post-apocalyptic world, a lone girl must choose between becoming the next-in-line to head a corrupt government or siding with those who wish to see the world burn. Order, suppression and lies, or chaos, truth and freedom? Whatever is chosen, one thing is clear: both sides bleed. ***** Every year, the Federated United Americas tasks its elite soldiers to participate in a nation-wide Cull. Hundreds of children are taken from homes and put into one of three Facilities. While most of them will be offered comfortable lives in the forms of low-ranking government jobs and militia commandos, a few will be groomed to be the successors for the highest office the FUA has to offer: The Council. Beckett Blake is known in the Facility as Ten, and she alongside six others branded 'Liars', have spent years enduring confinement and rigorous testing in order to secure a future as head of the FUA. When a terrorist group breaks into the Facility and kidnaps Ten and the others, she's forced to re-examine her future plans. Required to become a drug runner in the mega-city known as Neon Brights, Ten must decide if the future she'd been promised since childhood is worth the lies it's built upon. Will Ten choose the future that's been decided for her, or will she carve out one all her own, even if that path leads to her destruction? Cover by @eosophobias
