Throughout history, the darkness of night was the one thing man could never completely domesticate. Men were never meant to live at night. Instead, they took shelter within structures and tamed fire to light the darkness. However, it was the shadows living in that darkness that put fear in the heart of man.
Scott Custos lived like a gypsy for most of his adult life. After receiving his diploma at 17 he ran from his foster parent in the middle of the night. Never looking back, he left Pennsylvania and traveled west. Traveling by trains, hitchhiking, and shoe leather express, never staying too long at any location. Avoiding the big cities and sticking to country roads and small towns was the plan. Scott felt closer to nature this way instead of being trapped in a concrete jungle.
While traveling, Scott stumbles upon a small town in the middle of Michigan. This town is completely isolated from the outside world by a densely overgrown forest. At first sight, Scott believes he's found the perfect town. However, the longer he stays there, the stranger some of the locals seem. This strangeness doesn't just limit itself to the town either. In the surrounding forests, unexplainable events occur regularly. For some reason though, Scott feels a calling originating deep within the forest. Will this feeling lead to answers or perhaps raise even more questions. Maybe a creature in the darkness can lead Scott to the truth and protect him along the way.
