Hunter J. Carter, 17 year old Cross Country prodigy and prized athlete of EHS is thrown into an abyss of unconsciousness as he suffers an injury to the head that wipes away memories of his achievements, friendships, and especially... the love of his life. Hunter now finds himself at the starting line of the race to recover his core memories and faces an invisible opponent that threatens to end it.

"Ring".

 It was the doorbell. 

  I stood in the hallway frozen in place, a wave of anxiety washed over me, I didn't want my ignorance to hurt somebody who cared so much about me such as that person that stood outside the door. 

"Open the door Hunter!", yelled my mom from the kitchen. "Take your time. She'll want to smother you in kisses but don't get carried away, breakfast is ready." 

Kisses?  Holy sh*t.

 Could it be an aunt? A relative? I took a quick glance through the window beside the door, it was worse. 

She was radiant, she was beautiful, but her face was unknown to me.
