Ancestors
Aldi lay on the cold floor, his heart racing and his body drenched in sweat. He had just experienced another nightmare, one of many that had been plaguing him as of late. In this dream, he was lost in a dense forest, pursued by an unseen creature that seemed determined to capture him. He had struggled and screamed for help, but there was no one to hear him. As he lay on the floor, trying to catch his breath, Aldi couldn't help but wonder what these strange dreams meant. He had always been a sound sleeper, but lately he had been waking up in a state of fear and exhaustion, feeling as though he had just run a marathon. He glanced at the old alarm clock on his bedside table, its bright red numbers announcing that it was just past four in the morning. In the distance, he could hear the faint sound of people reciting prayers at the mosque near his parents' house. Aldi sighed and sat up, rubbing his eyes. He knew he wouldn't be able to get back to sleep after the nightmare he had just had. He got to his feet and stumbled over to the window, looking out at the brightening sky. The sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon, and the birds outside were starting to chirp, signaling the arrival of a new day. Despite the fatigue and fear that still lingered within him, Aldi couldn't help but feel a sense of hope as he watched the morning dawn. Maybe today would be the day that he finally got some answers about the strange dreams that had been plaguing him.Complete
The Beast and His Tamer
Well, this wasn't exactly what Sebastian thought he was going to have to deal with when he came to this forest. He was looking for a werebear that had lost its mind somewhere out here. But now he seemed to stumble upon a werewolf instead. He must have been in really bad shape to be that far gone. He was glad that he had found the right song to sooth and calm him. Now that the beast's rage was gone, it was slowly transforming into a human form. He hadn't really dealt with werewolves that much. They usually knew how to handle themselves and conduct themselves accordingly with society. It made this one all the stranger of an experience. "It's okay, buddy," he pet its head. "You're alright now. Rest your head and know that you are safe." The beast's head was resting on his lap as he hummed softly at it. Petting ever so gently right between his ears, he watched as the beast relaxed, slowly turning into the human form that was connected to it. The face took the longest to shift, but the man looked so peaceful when Sebastian was able to see it. And then he saw the rest of the man that was laying partly on top of him. Oh no. He forgot that they aren't clothed when they shifted. A blush came to his cheeks as he forced his eyes to stay on the man's face. Dammit all. Why did this beast have to be so handsome? * Sebastian Julien Jean Dubois was a part of the most famous family of beast tamers in the entire European and Asian continent. From Dragons to demons, and all the in betweens, he's tamed them all. In his last life he gave it all to his little brother who was kidnapped at the age of five , recused at the age of sixteen. Extra care - Brother needed it. Parent's support - How could he even ask for it when his brother missed it for eleven years. Brother owed it. Arranged marriage with his best friend - He never wanted it in the first place. They are like bros! So, when his brother showed interest in his best friend , he encouraged it. All he wanted was a happy and complete family. But he never realised that all his efforts to give his brother a family , would separate him from his family. "Your brother is sick ! "Your brother is new to the family. How would he know you are allergic to eggs?" - Mother. "Just go to the hospital. Don't ruin his birthday." - Father. "Bro , why did you even eat that cake ? I can't leave the party to accompany you now." - Best friend. ...... He had enough. He loves his brother too but his love shouldn't be one sided "Do you all even care about me ?I am dying here. My allergy is severe. I can die." He shouts with a hoarse voice. "Nobody dies from egg allergy. Don't exaggerate." "You all are my family. You all know how serious it is. My limbs are getting numb." "We are sending the driver." "Is dd's birthday more important than my life ?" That was the last question he asked before his senses went shady. "How can you be jealous of your own brother." That's what he heard for the last time before everything went black. He chuckles in his fate. What a joke his life has become ! Wish he could get another chance , another chance to live once again !
