Who would have thought that me getting on a plane with my dad for a trip that would last for summer would turn into three years? I was supposed to come back, and I wanted to at first, but plans change, and my life forever flipped upside down (but in a good way.)

When she was 14-years-old, Cori's life changed in ways she couldn't explain, she made some new friends but lost some along the way, she even got to meet the man who helped bring her into this world, then fly off to Europe with him but the only problem is, she didn't come back-at least not when she planned too. When the summer was over, her mother was promoted to a higher paying position and they moved away from New York and the life that she had created for herself.
It's now been close to 3 years since she saw any of the people she'd left behind, and they are all different people; she's no longer the quiet girl who left but outspoken and proud of who she has become. Farkle has come to terms who his Asperger's diagnose and adapted to it. Maya and Riley are still best friends but have learned how to put others first and not lean on one another too much. And, lastly Lucas, he hasn't looked back and thought about what could have been since the summer she had left and he's better for it.
Throw in Josh Matthews and a few other new characters and you get Skinny Love.
