We all believe that at the age of eighteen our life only begins. Well, for her it was already starting to crumble.

Two years have passed since Faith Hill was diagnosed with brain cancer. She came a long way of risky surgeries, therapies, an infinite amount of pills only to come to a sad understanding that all of this weren't helping her much. What's the point of spending money on treatment then? So with this question in her mind, a suitcase in her hand and only 3 months maximum to live she was already sitting in the car she was able to hitchhike. An unknown guy named Blake was nice enough to give her a ride to Portland, Oregon state, from where her Great American Adventure will officially begin.

New acquaintances, creepy motels, spontaneous choices, secrets, arguments, cheep hot-dogs from gas stations and many more are awaiting Faith and her new companion on every turn of the road.

"Baby, where are you going?" she asked me, kindly. "Home" i retorted. "But we are supposed to have breakfast together" she said, anxiously. "So that after that you can confidently break up contact with me and have me worrying about where you are, what you are doing and who you are with?" i intoned. "No, thank you." "Nigel, that's what i wanted to talk to you about" breathy, she said. "Talk to me? So there is a secret behind that? What kind of secret is that?" Annika thoughtfully faced down. I took that as an advantage to break free from her. I walked the distance i had remaining to get to my scooter, had my helmet on, hopped onto the scooter and had it on. "Nigel, forget the breakfast. Just give me a moment to tell you what i want you to know" she was all over me again, sad expressions taking turns on her face. "Please, i am begging you as a friend. Don't you go, please." Tears were dripping down from her eyes. "I love you Annika but right now is not a good time for us to talk. I need an alone space" tears slowly coming down from my eyes too i said and rode off, not looking back. "Aren't you afraid?" "Of what? Dying?" "Yes, exactly that." She took a moment to deliberately pick the right words in her mind because she knew he was going to ask why the moment after she answered, "No. Death is unavoidable, it's a part of life that is inescapable since birth. It's written in our very nature. The problem is that people spend too much time worrying about death and not living their lives to their fullest potential. We were born to both live and die and that seems to be forgotten somewhere along the way. I am not afraid of dying even though I could die at any given day at any given time because I'm making the most of my life and I know that something better awaits me when I go." [Edited!]
