Mistress Lavellan returns to Skyhold after a tough mission in a state of shock. She is straining under crippling self-doubt and a colorful past. Solas offers support and comfort, but it is clear that Lavellan is bothered by something beyond the strain of helming the Inquisition. Despite Solas' efforts to comfort her, she is profoundly haunted by her past. Unable to suppress the truth any longer, she makes several weighty confessions - including her true status within her clan and the fact that she is a blood mage, though an unwitting and reluctant one. After showing her some revelations in a Fade memory, Solas attempts to confront her with the truth in a way meant to bring comfort. He is only partially successful, but the two come to understand that the calm before the final storm - and their showdown with Corypheus - can be a source of hope, not only despair and dread. {originally posted on AO3 under my fandom name, Firjii} [Please note: originally posted with a "teen" rating since most questionable content elements are implied rather than directly described, however Wattpad only has 2 rating categories so I bumped it into "mature" to be on the safe side]

I want to preface this with a warning this was written/is being written with the assumption that the reader has played dragon age origins if you haven't then you really should great game. (Not fully beta read, we die like tamlen) ________________________________________ we follow the story of dalish huntress Athelya Mahariel, human noble Aurthur Cousland, and Alistair Theirin in their journey to save thedas and fight the blight. (All of them having "A" be there first initial was not intended) I DO NOT OWN DRAGON AGE ALL RIGHTS BELONG TO BIOWARE. I only own my oc's Aurthur cousland and Athelya mahariel This is my first time writing, so please, I really need your guy's criticism and tips, so definitely leave a comment. Our hero's are: Aurthur cousland, a warrior who uses a claymore (the sword, imagine if I just gave him a mine for a weapon) Aurthur is a good natured man who tries to solve confrontations without violence and is the unofficial negotiator/trader. An incorrigible joker he's lawful good/ chaotic good to use dnd terms. He hates inequality with a passion. Athelya mahariel is a closed off for a little while but mostly kind dalish hunter she uses a bow and a dagger kukri to be specific (ikr how original), she is the group's leader/provider and she doesn't get humans sometimes, she is neutral good. Alistair is my own opinion on how he acts, and so are the other companions. My goal with this story is to tell the main story and the dlc's of each game who knows I might even be done by the time veilguard comes out (I won't I suck)

Her hand was palm-up in his, then, the dark leather of his glove and the moonlight's ivory flush making her fingers look impossibly pale. He placed the lucky coin there, closing her fist around it. "Just humour me." ---- Slow burn romance between Cullen and my femme Lavellan, Lyric. The story is mostly made up of moments between characters, skipping some of the action we are familiar with. Spans the events of Dragon Age: Inquisition, base game only. - 18+ only - Disclaimers: - Content/trigger warnings for minor character injury, blood/gore, and sexual content. - This is a a slow burn, but it is a romance nonetheless. *Not* smut; there are also character pieces for my Inquisitor and some others that are not related to the romance, but it's all part of Lyric's story. - There are time jumps, and some slight canon divergence/original elements, but nothing that impacts the integrity of the story in a major way. - I have only played Inquisition and all associated expansions, but not the earlier games. - This is my interpretation of the story- I take some liberties with minor variations and some situations of my own. - My lore is not perfect, but I'm trying!
