Christlyna and her six year old brother Christian visit their Uncle Dawn and Aunt April for a week while their mother works. Both children have previously come to dislike their Aunt, but they love Uncle Dawn. Uncle Dawn loves them too, but his wife has something to say about that. One day Uncle Dawn goes to work and leaves them in the care of their Aunt April. Things get boring so the kids decide to explore their temporary home. Christlyna discovers an antique mirror that not only calls them from a distance, but is somehow controlled by something. Aunt April learns that the children have been lurking around the mirror, and decides to give them a push into reality. While Inside of the mirror, Christian wonders off leaving Christlyna worried and confused. Her worries are soon over as she finds her little brother, but what he finds will reveal the truth about their Aunt April.

Calysta Harmon lives with her God parents after her father died when she was younger. Due to constant bullying, she finds herself in constant anxiety when she thinks of social situations. Unable to talk to or even look in the eye of anyone outside her family, she tries her best to be invisible, especially in school. She's praying for senior year to breeze by when Asa, a 17 year old law breaker is welcomed into her family for one last chance for a good life. Asa makes it his personal duty to get rid of Calysta's social anxiety unless his past comes back to bite him.
