𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐊𝐄𝐍 𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐎: 𝐀 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐊𝐄𝐍-𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐅𝐈𝐀 𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 (𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐃)
Snippet 1
I took a slow sip of the tea she'd made, letting the rich, dark taste settle on my tongue. It was perfect-just the way she made me liked it.
"You always make it exactly right," I murmured, my voice a low hum of approval.
Her lips parted slightly, as if my praise had caught her off guard.
I tilted my head, watching her carefully. "You're good with your hands, aren't you, little dove?"
She inhaled sharply, her entire body going rigid.
I let the words hang there, letting her mind twist them into whatever meaning she wanted.
Then, with a quiet, deliberate exhale, I leaned in-just enough to make her feel my presence. Close, but not touching. Her breath hitched.
"If you're going to tremble around me," I said, my voice dipping lower, "at least figure out whether it's from fear or something else."
Snippet 2
"You should be careful, dove." My voice was low, almost a murmur. "Looking at a man like that? You might make him think you want something."
Her lips pressed together, her lashes fluttering. I could feel the way her pulse quickened beneath my fingertips.
I leaned in, just close enough that my breath ghosted over her skin.
"Or worse," I continued, letting my thumb graze the edge of her jaw. "You might make him want to give it to you."
