The Doctor begins regenerating, but the TARDIS is drawn off course and the regeneration is postponed as a new evil begins to grow. The entire life of the Doctor is placed in jeopardy as are his old friends; Jamie, Zoe, Victoria, Ben, and Polly are all doomed... A parallel alternate race of War Lords, with the members of their race doubles in every detail, begin to bring about the destruction of the Time Lords.
