A carefree smile bloomed on his face in reflex. Trials and storms continuously invaded their world but their hideout still stayed the same. Their haven didn't change, just like their love. A warm squeeze around his torso made him glance down.
"Shh," she reprimanded softly, cuddling further into him, "don't jinx it. I want to stay like this for longer." As if on cue, the clouds around the lake darkened followed by rounds of thunder.
"And there it goes," they whined.
"Angry Chorni can't you ask your Khana Ji to control this for a while?"
"Why don't you ask your partner instead, Ajeeb Rajvansh?" she counterattacked. The duo glared at the other before slumping into each other's arms. "Let it be," she muttered after a while, "it can wait for a little."
"Hmm," he nodded, tightening his hold on her, "it can always wait."
They soaked in the peace and comfort of each other's embrace, unbothered by the storm urging around them because they knew it could never each them. Because a hurricane does not affect its eye.
