I wake up to a glass-shattering scream. I quickly jump out of my bed and walk into the living room and fall to my knees. There, on the living room floor is my mom. Bleeding from god knows where. I look up to see my boyfriend hovering over her, a bat in hand.
"What have you done?" I asked between sobs.
He smirks as he says, "I beat her with a bat because she wouldn't let me see you"
"You beat my mother with a bat because she wouldn't let you see me? Don't you see how wrong that is?! That's my mom. The women who practically raised you. Raised us. You already lost 1 mom? Do you really want to lose 2?" I sob out

The "Please..." I hear her whimper and I go into full panic mode. "Calm down, okay? Deep breaths. Don't hang up. I'll be with you soon. Where are you?"
