-this story is written in english- Maëlle Vaillancourt, left parentless by an accident that claimed the life of her mother and a drug addiction that claimed the liberty of her father, had no other options. In hands and under the protection of social services, the sixteen-year-old girl was shoved against her will into the awaiting arms of two people- her newly-found foster parents. Paul Van Haver, or, Stromae, to the public eye, had moved to Montréal, Québec to reinvent his life and revive his marriage. Unbeknownst to him, the life of a foster parent was more rewarding than he could've ever imagined. He knew from the beginning that accommodating what could possibly be the most stubborn teenager on the planet would probably be one of the most difficult things of his life, but he was sure that it would be one of the most fulfilling things he would ever have the pleasure of doing. When both lives collided, there was bound to be a stream of sarcastic comments, multiple acts of teenage rebellion and possibly a hole in the wall that was caused from Paul repeatedly banging his head against it.
