2D has been dealing with Murdoc's abusive habits for years. It's gotten so frequent, and repetitive that he can tell when Murdoc's going to hit him just by his facial expression. Stuart couldn't really complain, the bruises became basically attached to his body after a while, and he barely noticed it. But over time, 2D starts to see a side of Murdoc know one has ever really seen, and he can't help but put his nose into it.
