Briar has never been safe. Of course, no one really is, but with her it is different. In the suffering remains of America, Briar grew up with little food and money, which was divided up between the members of her large family. She was born into a poor family, which everyone really was. Except for her father. The administrator. He had power over the largest county in old America. His position put her in a terrible place of danger. She is known as the administrator's rich, spoiled daughter, instead of the small girl who grew up in a poor home. Everyone wants to get out of this county, go somewhere new, and with her, they might just be able to do so. James has lived with the Street Raiders since he was seven, when Willy took him in after his mother had died and his father had left him. The Raiders did save the poor orphan boy's life, by feeding him and giving shelter, but James is ready to break out and start his own group. He notices all the flaws in every plan the street raiders come up with, but isn't allowed to say so. He is supposed to follow suit; be a minion to the leader, fight only the fights he is told to do so. His mind is to strong for these simple tasks. He is to smart and good at fighting for these little things he is told to do. He wants to think on his own. And he is just about to do so. But first, he needs to find away out, because as the street raiders best fighter and smartest man, they aren't going to let him go easy. Oh no. The raiders don't do easy.

"You should care, Dylan. You would still be living in the back of a car, stealing from Seven Eleven! Is that what you want?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The "Four Musketeers." That's what they called them. If they weren't all together they were two on two. And they give zero fucks about life. The Adopted one The Bad boy The Player The Best friend Dylan is like most troubled girls. She doesn't care about her grades, she skips school, hangs with the wrong crowds, and hates her parents. But of course there's a reason for all of this. Dylan is adopted. Dylan has always struggled with being adopted and she tends to fight everything in life. Many bad memories cause her to be the way she is. She desperately wants to forget her past, including some bad things she experienced, but the memories stay stuck in her mind. Dylan has three best friends who help her get by. The only three people she 100% trust and doesn't like to. They all have their own problems and lies they tell, but they help each other through it all. Especially her boyfriend Vince, who would do absolutely anything for her. He would die a thousand times over before anyone hurt Dylan. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Dylan's not just my whole life, she makes my life whole. Some days she's the only reason I get out of bed. Without her in my life there is no point in living. She's like the air I breathe. Without her I can't live. She's my best friend and I will love her to the day I die." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This summer Dylan gets the opportunity to do what every guidance counselor has claimed she's always wanted to do . . . split up her family. Will she realize splitting up her family won't help anything? Or will she just not care? After all she was abandoned once.
