Two years after defeating Alva, with her family having more free time, Gilly's home-life is more percarius than after. Her parents apparently don't get along as well as they used when they actually have time to spend together. Despite her parents fighting and her siblings trying to figure out why when Gilly knows exactly why, she spends more time trying to help her friends with their problems than working on hers. Maybe she felt responsible for the war and had adopted a certain guilt even with Alva gone, or maybe she was just hoping that if she ignored her own problems long enough they'd go away.
