Yu-Gi-Oh! GO-On follows the story of an industry of students studying to becoming prime business agents who govern the dueling nexus and seek out ones who are trying to mess with it and use it for creating crimes in Giga City. With this an industry an academy is formed underground which is called "Onger Central". Onger Central is a humongous underground academy that teaches its students to become these agents in crime to protect the thing they love the most. Right now Onger Central's biggest enemy are a group of cyber thieves messing with the grid and planning to take over it, leaded by 2 females and 1 male. These kids must train hard for whatever it takes to protected the nexus and to save their city.

Yugi, a young boy who was a servant for the royal family in Egypt, had stumbled upon the young prince with one of his teachers in the garden. Yugi was not allowed to befriend or speak with Atem unless asked or forced to. One day, Yugi was playing with some of the other servant kids until the young prince and his friend Mana were out in the field kicking some rocks. The young servant had not realized on how much he and the prince looked alike, the only 2 differences were that Yugi was way more paler and was not royal. Yugi had somehow gotten hurt, and this is where the relationship began. As his "friends" left him because they could not handle the crying, the caring prince and his friend rushed over to his aid. The servant just thought they'd help so none of their 'slaves' would be harmed and could continue working but that's not how Atem saw it. Later on things had happened to where the prince had ordered his father to keep Yugi in the palace, so the two grew up together until war began. For 3 years Atem had left..
