Can't Escape Love

Tara Roy and Jaiveer Sisodia have been in each other's lives since childhood. When they first met at a Boston Hindu Diwali party, Tara was 5 and Jai was 9. As their parents became friends, they kept meeting for parties and get-togethers held in the Indian community.
Tara was regarded as a child prodigy or sorts, completing high school and starting college at 16. She went on to become a cardiothoracic surgeon, graduating with honours from Harvard Medical School. Jai was a laidback student who went on to attend college on a basketball scholarship. During their college years, Jai and Tara were inseparable in spite of the differences in their studies, temperaments and interests. But by the end of the five years that they were in the same campus, something happened that disturbed the easy camaraderie between them. Tara then left to complete her studies at Stanford. Jai stayed on the East Coast and became an architect.
