Lucy is exhausted after the events at the Grand Magic Games. Struggling with the mental scars that it left on her, she hides her troubles from all her friends in an attempt to cope. Feeling weak and hopeless, she strikes out in anger at everyone and everything. Natsu knows something is up, but he barely recognizes this cold, violent woman who is his best friend. In an attempt to protect her, he ends up pushing her away, with devastating consequences for her and the team. 

Laxus had to admit; he'd underestimated the blonde little celestial mage who joined Fairy Tail. He finally saw the grit and determination that made her a force to be reckoned with during the Grand Magic Games. However, after the games Lucy returned home a haunted woman. It was clear she was hiding something, and her secret was tearing her, and her team, apart. Watching her life implode from a distance, Laxus was reluctant to get involved. 

However, forces beyond their control are gathering. Choices will have to made and past sins forgiven if Laxus and Lucy hope to stop the armageddon that is upon them. Destiny has chosen its champion. Will they answer the call?
