The pillars loomed large and white against the background of dark clouds and the wide marble steps spread intimidatingly up into the building like the tongue of a hungry predator. "WHY CAN'T YOU GET IT INSIDE YOUR HEAD?" He trapped my trembling body between his arms and slammed his fist into the wall. I flinch at the sound as I feel tears forming in my eyes. Shutting my eyes closed and turning my face to the side as I do. Moments later, I feel his rough hand on my waist and his finger grazing my cheek. "Look at me, love." His hand grips onto my jaw, his thumb playing across my lower lip. He turns my face to meet his as I lower my gaze to the floor. He lowers himself to my level and I feel his breath fanning my cheek causing my breathing to become unsteady. "I love you so much, darling. But you need to learn. You need to learn that you won't be going anywhere. You're mine." With that being said, his other hand slides down to my waist "Your entire body, your mind, your soul. All mine." Highest ranked- #10 in action 2/16/2017 A promotion. That's all I wanted. I didn't want to run for my life. I didn't want to be kidnapped. I didn't want to face death. I didn't want to find out my whole life was a lie. I just wanted a bloody promotion. Guess fate had other plans? **** The cold air fanned over my face as I opened the door. The exit door lead to the back of the building so it was pitch black. I leaned against the wall trying to control myself. Blood was running down my arm and head. My hair was stuck to my face from all the sweat and blood. Everything was spinning around me and the ground seemed like it was shaking. Groaning I sat down and put my head on my knees. He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I heard the opening of a car and the next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car. My head hit the hard leather seat and the door shut behind me. Maybe this is how my life will end. Maybe I should just let it happen. Maybe I was destined to die alone as a no one. With that I let the darkness consume me.Complete
Detention
We held our breath as we heard footsteps enter the dark room. My heart raced and I covered my mouth to keep from screaming as tears ran down my cheeks. Caleb sat next to me, with obvious fear in his eyes. I knew that the desk couldn't hide us for much longer and that's what scared me the most. The footsteps came closer and they grew louder by the second. I held my breath once I heard the man's footsteps stop. Caleb and I exchanged looks as we sat frozen under the desk. I looked up, trying to listen to the man's actions. Then a gloved hand grabbed the edge of the desk and the man's bloody mask appeared in front of me. He stared at us and chuckled, "Found you." · · · Seven classmates find themselves in detention from breaking the rules at their school. This, of course, isn't their first time in detention but something seemed different. The teacher leaves to do something leaving the kids completely unsupervised which was kind of weird. He usually left some goody two shoes to watch them but this time there was no one except them. Creepy things begin to happen and they find themselves locked in the school. What was this? Time is ticking as they try to find their way out before they end up lying in a puddle of their own blood.Complete
