On the Isle of The Lost, the barrier prevented any magic from being used. This prevents the kids on the Isle (and more importantly their parents) from doing anything to escape... Until Prince Ben of Auradon decides to let some of the Villain kids attend Auradon Prep. Sent to retreive Fairy Godmothers wand and free the Villains stuck on the Isle, the VK's go, unaware of a dark secret lurking beneath the skin, a well guarded secret thanks to the Barrier around the Isle... But that Barrier around them is gone now.
