When only an estimated 47% of the population survived bombings, about half of them died from radiation poisoning or mutated into inane monsters who devoured anything moving. A handful of people who experienced mutations, however, lived on as functioning humans with uncanny abilities. They became the world's biggest chance at surviving in the harsh wastelands; they were humanity's "hope".

The Wildfire Virus. That's the illness the eggheads have called dubbed that has spread alarmingly fast all over the world. No could figure out at first how and where it came from or how even spread so quickly. I was on leave, visiting brother in Boston when the infection hit. Fallout is more about the people and communities that try to move forward after a nuclear devestation, those who thrive, and then those who are drifting off, and those who have hit such a bottom that they have no further to fall. Many communities will rise from the nuclear ash for most to fail. In this world, there are no good guys; there are no bad guys. Everyone is just trying to get by and survive. The story takes a first-person point of view from a character who is pushed out of her home and into an unknown world. This world is mostly under control by two main factions at war though; one being the self-proclaimed United States and the other being the self-proclaimed owners of the counter, the Enclave. This story has many ups and downs and level offs. It has frustrations, situations, shows emotion, and thinking of the main character. It will read dynamically in its speed and depth in specific details as this girl looks for a new home in the post-nuclear wasteland in the year of 2300.Complete

A cure can't be found and the virus is spreading like wildfire. People are still recuperating from the nuclear war and find that there is nothing they can do to stop the virus. I was diagnosed with having the virus on January 1, 2015. My birthday was on the first and so I had just turned eighteen. What a birthday present, getting such a deadly disease, or could it somehow turn into a good thing? One year to live. I had the virus.Complete
