"There are often more lows than highs but you just have to get back up, dust yourself off and get on with it!" - Nicola Wilson, Olympic eventing silver medalist

@DJGammawaves - "A page turner which conveys an important message to change society's strict measures"

@MegRobW - "'Falling Apart' is an imaginative story which has a touch of sadness but which shows inspiration and hope. It is interesting to read with brilliantly, observed description and gives an insight into a life around horses. It is written in such a way that one is never bored so that the reader is keen to 'read on' to see what happens next."

@Booknerdfantasizer21 - "Falling Apart is a captivating book and catches your attention from the first page. It's a great story about hope and drive and I can't wait to see where the book goes."

@The_Real_Peter_Pan - "Hooked from the get go, yet had no idea where I was off to. The journey so far had been full of intrigue and mystery with the perfect dose of chicanery. And of course what will happens next?!"

Fifteen-year-old Kaylin Podmore has a pretty great life, basically everything a teenager living in Lexington, Kentucky could ever dream of. Her parents own one of the most successful Thoroughbred racehorse operations in the country and she has three of the best friends any girl could have, especially as her freshman year of high school starts to come to an end. She catches the eye of Lucas Mitchell, a sophomore starting quarterback for her school's varsity football team. As they learn about one another and grow closer, a potential serious relationship starts to grow between them, but her ex-boyfriend Jesse Landford, her older sister Kimberly and Lucas's ex-girlfriend, Nichole Young, are determined to try to keep them from getting together for different reasons. Kaylin knows Nichole is a stuck up spoiled rich girl, and she doesn't believe a word that Nichole says about her and Lucas, but her sister's another story. She and Kim know their dad isn't exactly keen on either of his daughters dating so it causes problems in-between them after Kim shares the news with their dad about her and Lucas's budding relationship. Other than their friends, the only people who seem to like the idea of Kaylin and Lucas potentially getting together are her mom and his family, who're all being supportive because they know each other from their kids going to school together and being in the same business, even if they're competitors. Her mom often has to settle disputes in-between her and her dad but that doesn't mean her dad is going to stop being negative about Kaylin's growing relationship with Lucas. Kaylin is set on finishing out the year, hopefully with Lucas as her boyfriend despite the trouble it is causing in her life to have a great summer with her friends and watching her favorite horse, Faith's Magic, start her racing career.

Ever since her parents died when she was 6, she's been moved from foster home to foster home, and she's sick of it. So she runs away, train hopping until she gets far enough away. When she gets off, she realized her new surroundings are eerily familiar, and a strange sense of déjà vu follows her everywhere.
