What if there were no heroes?
Super is a word thrown around all too casually. It's a positive connotation people add on to say something or someone is more advanced or better or even superiorly modified compared to the average. But not here. There are no heroes. There are criminals. Some are "super" vagrants and thieves, but we call them the Immortals. For law enforcement that's code for: keep moving, there's nothing we can do to stop them.
Samantha Smith is your average foster kid. B- across the board at her local street urchin assylum, one drug mule she keeps as a boyfriend for street cred, and a house full of foster kids she coparents with Mama Gloriana. All things considered, she keeps her nose clean and her head down. She has a pretty good life compared to most in the big city.
All of that changes on the eve of her 18th birthday, when fate decides she should become... Immortal.

I just kind of want to get through high school. Then we'll talk about this 'superhero' business." Max Owens is your average high school sophomore. Well, he tries to be, at least. At fifteen, he's got more important things to do than fight the infamous Vinicus Cauldwell. With his single mother having recently lost her job, Max is determined to help his family get back up on its feet. The publicity and pressure that comes with being a superhero would be too much to handle right now. But it's hard to fly under the radar, when you can literally fly. Meanwhile, Vinicus Cauldwell enjoys the power he has as Murkbourne's most feared super-villain. For once, he can sit back and relax without being pestered by the police. That is, until Max arrives. Since discovering she could teleport six months ago she's been trying to juggle being a high school student by day, and a vigilante by night with failing results. Unable to stay awake in classes from her late nights, her grades are dropping fast, and to top it off her exhaustion has she left friendless. When saving late night employees from a burning building puts Taylor in the path of a dangerous criminal, she ends up in an altercation that forces her to realize she needs help. Help comes from two unlikely people: Clint and Dominic who bring their own complications.
