In the land of pegasi, everything seems perfect, because the wise supreme leader makes all the hard choices and makes sure no one goes hungry. But a young soldier of the Springherd is beginning to think that the law that has been around for centuries may not be as just as everyone else thinks it is. Then one day, the four herds that have been at peace are fighting a war over a young foal born with strange magic. Pegasi must decide whether to choose the easy path and fight in the war even if they think it's unjust, or if they will try to stop this war and risk execution.

But those people are emotionally unstable magets. Luna is a Night Bringer dragon, but she isn't pureblood. She also has the abilities of a Water Sprayer and the scales of a Weather Wing. Under normal circumstances, nothing would be wrong, just would have trouble controlling extra powers. But the Night Bringers of the continent weren't open to hybrids in their species. That fact caused Luna so much pressure and stress to hide and cost her a spot at her dream school. But then comes the faithful day when she is revealed to be a part of a prophecy of her and five other magets that would stop the war. (A prophecy Luna had first, but that's beside the point) She and the other five are then thrust into a plot of conspiracy, secrets, and death, surrounded by people they don't know if they can trust or not. The pressure for Luna is only amplified by the added factor of might not being able to survive. Is this really how it's supposed to go? Is Luna going through all of this pressure for a good reason?
