Despair finally reveals itself from the shadows of Remnant, in the form of Salem, and her goal is to end humanity as we know it.

And her first order of business is going after the Staff of Creation and destroying the greatest kingdom in Remnant, Atlas, meanwhile Team RWBY and Co. Are headed back to Mantle to evacuate everyone left behind and enacting yet another crazy and possibly suicidal plan: Activate the Amity Communications Tower themselves to warn the rest of the world of Salem.

But with their greatest threat already here and the risk of losing both Penny, now the Winter Maiden, and the Relic, locked safely in the vault, the gang really is putting all their cards on the table in a game where the gamble is life or death.

Meanwhile a blind and unworthy (Y/n) prepares himself to fight Salem's forces with all the power and strength he has left, with the allied Valkyrie at his side, unaware of the other world-threatening foes about to come forth, the fate of Atlas and Mantle now lies in the balance, and whatever happens now, will determine what happens to the rest of the world.
