In a Heart Beat is a story about the love shared by 2 high schooler, who have to fight the odds to be together. Charlie, a senior at her new school, has never really stayed in one place for more than 2 years making it impossible to have a serious relationship that leads to anything. Austin, the high schools quarter-back, is also a senior and has gone to the same high school throughout the years and been in an off and on relationship with the head cheerleader, Steph. The 2 catch each others eyes, but will fate allow them to be together? Will Charlie have to leave again before something starts? Will her father intervene when he is not wanted? What will Steph think about the newly found love?
