For a moment, the whole world went still.

In that split second, my eyes found the source of my unease. A bright blue gaze stared back at me from the head of the table, beneath a black mask. I knew, without a shadow of doubt, that I would recognize those eyes anywhere. There they were, eyes that had haunted my dreams almost every night since we met. He should not be here, I thought numbly. There was no time to process what it meant. No time to form a plan.

The moment was over.

The room erupted into chaos.

Read to find out guys!♡♡ ♣ We can't not until-- until you're sure," I assured. I knew she could see the look of anguish on my face, and how much control I was trying to have on myself, she could see all of it, I looked into her beautiful eyes to find them teary once again. My beautiful mate thought I had rejected her, and something broke in me. "But that doesn't mean that I'm tamed Vedika, that doesn't mean that the things I want to do to you and with you have left my mind," I continued, earning a look from her. Her temperature had increased, making it known that I affected her now a lot more than usual. "It means the opposite, my love, trust me," I said reassuringly, the scent of her arousal heightening. I couldn't simply get enough of her, and with the scent of her that surrounded me at the moment, it was clear as day, that control had slipped from my hand, instead she controlled the entirety that I am. #8 in possessive 10/2/2021 #12 in paranormal romance 16/5/2021 #1 in Naive 4/10/2021 ______________________________________________ WILL BE TAKEN DOWN FOR PROPER EDITING - DEC 6TH

I could imagine how he would stalk to me, his head high with all his teeth showing. His pure white fur not being touched by the dust he had created when he chased after me. I can only imagine how every step for him would be a leap for me. That blood would hang from his mouth and drip onto the forest floor but not even faze his fangs. I was terrified of him. Even if I couldn't bring myself to mention it, to be weak and choose to submit. These thoughts kept me running, the invisible echo of a laugh that wasn't really there stayed in my ear, even though he was nowhere to be. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• He was terrifying, but yet, at he same time he was safe. Slowly she began reaching her hand towards the animal, feeling compelled to touch it. Would it be as soft as it looked? Did it want her to touch it? The rain continued pelting them, but it felt like its eyes were drawing her into another space, where nothing else mattered. The sudden desire to be closer to this animal was beginning to overtake her mind, especially as her hand neared its head. The whole time the animal only watched her with those large eyes. She imagined it almost asking for her touch. It didn't cross her mind how she knew he'd be soft, or how she even knew the creature was a 'he' to begin with. As her finger just barely grazed the animal, multiples things happened. She felt something shock her causing her to pull her hand back, just as thunder and lightning sounded. When the light cleared the animals' eyes, were narrowed into slits, and it was growling. It was a deep menacing sound that sent her stumbling backward, heart wildly beating. It bared fangs the size of her hand alone dipping its head. Had her touch angered the animal into finally attacking her? She kept moving backward in the rain, slipping in her converses as the creature continued growling. It was then she knew she was prepared to run, no matter what happened. Axel glanced over his shoulder and screeched to a halt, sprinting back over. I could see the worry in his eyes. I could faintly hear him calling my name. I'm standing in the gateway to the larger ballroom, almost too far away for my weak eyes to see the three figures that glide onto the stage. The King and Queen walk side by side until they come to their thrones, the Prince walking about five feet behind and moving towards the smaller throne to the King's left. The King and Queen sit down on their thrones in unison. The Prince doesn't. Even I can see the way his shoulders are bristling, a sort of confused wonder dawning on his face. And I would swear he is looking directly at me. //// Lee Collins wants to help her sister, Lucy. She has a vision of a future away from their dad, where Lucy could be healthy and they would have some chance of happiness. When Lee's only friend helps her sneak into the royal ball on the minuscule chance that an attending doctor would be willing to help, Lee ends up fleeing the party early, chased by none other than her mate. Lee finds herself locked in from all sides, desperate to escape the suffocating implications of a mate but frantic to fight for a future for her sister that she still believes possible. Working in the Royal Palace to save escape money is a terrible idea when you have a controlling father, but it's an even worse idea when the mate that you're avoiding is the Prince. //Marked Mature just in case for violence. general trigger warning.
