In a world divided into two, the Barrisons and the Shackles, kids must learn to fend for themselves. The fourth world war has left the world, or what's left of it, in ruins. Barrisons and Shackles live in separate wings on the only piece of land left on earth. The only thing separating them is a small forest. Tammy King, a Barrison, was taught to hate the Shackles and know that if she were to ever cross paths with one, she would kill them on sight. What happens when the government puts Barrisons and Shackles together in the forest? What happens when enemies are forced to unite against a greater force that might destroy them? What will happen when Tammy stumbles into Noah Masterson? Will the two enemies learn to work together, or will the rest of the world perish at the hands of the unknown?
