After a devestating death of her parents, Clair Norman and her younger brother, Jack, go to live with their Aunt, Alana O'Connor, and their two step-sisters, Julia and Meghan, in Maine. Clair starting a new school in the middle of the year means no friends-at least not until she meets Taylor Keith. When Taylor gives Clair her number, but gets a digit off, it leads her to the notorious badboy's number, Nick Cloud. But not knowing who each other are, they dig a little into each other's lives, and let their emotions pour out over text.

She tells him everything. From the death of her parents to the cruelty of her Aunt.

He tells her everything. From the car accident that haunts him to how he fakes everything in real life.

A love soon blossoms, and with a masquerade school ball just around the corner, it gives them a perfect time to meet. But obstacles stand in their way, the main one being her Aunt and step-sisters. Will they fight through it to make the relationship work, or will he throw it all away like he's so accustomed to doing? It couldn't possibly be love though, right?

After all, it only started because of a wrong number.

She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights. He has countless tattoos covering his body. And he doesn't care about anything or anyone else. Layla Stevens is your average seventeen year-old girl, just trying to get through high school, with the friends she loves and doing the things she loves. When these two cross paths accidentally in an unusual way, they leave and never expect to speak to each other again. But fate has other plans. Layla finds her way into Reece's life and Reece doesn't know what to do about it. This ray of Sunshine suddenly meant something to him. She understood him when it seemed like no one else did. And he protected her from everyone who tried to hurt His Sunshine. Get ready for a story filled with bad pick-up lines, twin telepathy and a lot of fighting. Like, a LOT. Thanks for that one, Reece.

The Bad Boy Next Door "She promised herself she wouldn't fall for him - the boy with secrets in his eyes and sins on his hands. But promises were made to be broken." Evelyn Quinn has always preferred to stay in the background - quiet, careful, and a little too good at keeping to herself. So when her family moves to a new neighborhood, she promises herself this time will be different. A fresh start. A chance to belong. But new beginnings are never as simple as they seem. Between the pressure of fitting in and the unfamiliar faces at her town, Evelyn's world feels like a maze she can't quite navigate. That is, until she's introduced to her cousin Emily's group of friends - loud, confident, and nothing like her. Then there's him. The boy everyone warns her about. The one who's all sharp smiles, late-night rides, and secrets he never talks about. He's reckless and magnetic, the kind of trouble that pulls you in before you even realize you're falling. At first, Evelyn tells herself it's just curiosity. A crush she'll outgrow. But the more time she spends around him, the more she sees a side of him that no one else does - a side that makes her heart race and her guard crumble. Soon, she's caught between the girl she's always been and the girl she's becoming - between safety and danger, right and wrong, heart and reason. Because some people come into your life to teach you lessons. And others? They change you forever. Will Evelyn's new life help her grow into who she's meant to be... or will it lead her down a path she never saw coming?

She's rich, the perfect student, and graduating early. He's a heathen, a heartbreaker, and well he may never graduate... These all might be true, but with every fact, there is a detail to be explained. When people can be seen below the surface of their persona your whole view of them and their lives change. Axel thinks he's a hardass, huh? Well so does Victoria. So which one knows - How to Steal a Heart? ╰┈➤ a taste "I'm a mess," I shake my head, "Apparently a mess only you can see," "Only because I'm looking," He gestures to his eyes. "I see you, there's nothing wrong with seeing you." I completely shift myself to look at Axel. I sat in front of him as he looked down at me. This is the Axel that has me wrapped around his finger. Not the fighter, not the bad boy. The compassionate, well-spoken, devoted, Axel Stone that is sitting in front of me. So when the story comes out of my inevitable demise - know that it was Axel Stone's words that slain me. Not his persona or his larger-than-life muscles -even though those are very nice- it was the way he cared for me. The way he set a fire in my soul, a flame to my heart. The way he anchored me.
