Andrew Peel and Julia Washington are a couple of high school nerds who move in different social circles-the former is a goofball geek, the latter is a bookish nerd aiming for valedictorian. One day during a driving lesson gone awry,  they have visions of an alien megacity in the sky. Singing to them. Stalking them. Over the next few years, their lives change and their friendship grows as they try their best to determine what is happening. Why is the sideways city only appearing to them? And what does it want?

Fifteen years after, the Earth will be not what it used to be. Legends of the existence of aliens becomes true in that day. In that day, huge ships cover the hole sky of the world, and aliens begin coming down from those ships. A terrible war happens between humans and aliens and the winner is aliens. Aliens call for a ceasefire; the only thing they want is to start living in the Earth, and the peace happens. After that day, all of aliens come down from the ship and start living with humans. Physically, they look exactly the same as humans. The only difference; their coloue of blood is green. Because of this little difference, it becomes hard to find out who is alien, who is human. Eighteen-year old, young and beautiful girl Hayley was having an ordinary hagh school life, until aliens come to the Earth. After that day, although humans and aliens start living together in peace, Hayley hates aliens because she lost the man she loves in the war. Therefore, Hayley cannot trust anyone anymore. By the way, she meets Ezra, the new student in school. After this meeting, Hayley starts seeing the truths about aliens; why they are really here. Humanity, is in danger right now and if this cannot be stopped, the apocalypse happens and humanity will be over.

Max is a 16-year-old living on Mars with their single mother, but to avoid the mess of their parents' divorce, they've been sent to Venus to stay with their Uncle Luan and Aunt Anivene for the summer. The best part about that is that they get to see their cousin, Sebastian, who they haven't seen since they were both five. Venus isn't exactly a perfect paradise, Max knows, but it's much better than staying on Mars and listening to their parents argue all summer. Upon arrival in Marigold City, Max discovers that their extended family has taken in two kids their age off the streets - Kiffa, a tech-genius Zomai looking to use gadgets to fit in at school, and Azadri, a very self conscious Evior who believes she's too alien for her mostly-human peers. Sebastian, being a Hybrid, easily made friends with the two misfits, and the three of them became Cloud Nine Academy's playground menaces. Max, being 100% human, wants to make friends with their cousin's new gang, but they find themself feeling unworthy as they've never once felt they don't fit in. So, the only logical thing is to convince the trio that they're a misfit too. That shouldn't be too hard, should it?

After the entry interview, the youth claimed: "I have no religion or beliefs but my own path." Due to this statement, this youth was titled "The Atheist', put on Sacred High between the rampant gods and myth wielders. Striving to aim for higher popularity ranks to ensure their safety, this was literally a battle to survive and become the strongest. The better your reputation, the less likely anyone would bother you. At the top stands the Student Council, possibly the most rotten out of the school, while at the bottom, the new IAI joins.
