In this story Marie is ripped out of her reality and has to choose wich way she'll go and do the right thing as the greatest foe of all Mario Games plans a big comeback show.

In Their Darkness: A Super Paper Mario Story Collection
Tensions are high, and all throughout the universes, everyone is feeling the effects of Count Bleck's plans to fulfill the Dark Prognostics and destroy every Universe. No one is exempt from this. Our heroes aren't, of course, as they try and stop Count Bleck's plans, but not even Bleck's minions who work against them are safe from their own thoughts during these dark times. This is a collection of these thoughts; their worries, scheming, and challenges, all presented from their own point of view in their own stories. I (obviously) do not own any characters in this story, and do not claim to. This story does not intend to present itself as canon, and although it aligns with the main story of Super Paper Mario, some smaller details might have been changed for the sake of story telling. Labeled as a number six, he is the most powerful being born as far as everyone knows. But what happens when he finds himself in the presence of a One? A tale about friendship. About finding light and love in a world where that doesn't seem apparent. About lasting bonds and about broken bridges. Join us, as One shines a flashlight into the darkness. Follow Blumiere as he follows One in his quest to bring back the sun. AN: For once, this is NOT a ship story. I want to be clear, it is NOT a BlumierexOne story in any way. It is purely a story about friendship and the bond between two children. This story takes place before SPM. It's an alternate Universe where things used to be a lot darker, so it's by no means canon to either game. The universe is heavily based on Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares 2, however, though some names are the same, none of those characters from that game are in this.
